Grading expectations:  Just like in class, I won’t be taking a grade on all assignments, but your child should complete all work that I assign.  This will help him/her be ready for third grade. 

I will be taking grades on the following;

• Xtra math
• Study Island assignments
• Accelerated Reading (AR)-your child should be earning 2 points each week.This means reading and quizzing on 4 short books/week or 2 chapter books/week.

Directions for EPIC-

• Go to the self service app on the ipad and find EPIC.
• Tap “install”, it should appear on the ipad in a couple of minutes.
• Open the EPIC icon.
• At the bottom, tap “Have an account?Sign in”
• Go to “students/educators”
• Student login on the left
• Our code is rzl9335
• Go
• Tap their name
• Tap “AR”
• From there you should see many, many books that they can read, or have read to them.
• They may take an AR quiz on any book read, by going back into classlink and go to Renaissance Place-student.This is the same way they have been taking AR quizzes at school.

Troubleshooting:

·       Make sure the iPad has access to Wi-Fi; these lessons will not be accessible without internet connection.

·       If ClassLink does not log in automatically- you can log your child in using the ClassLink login that was sent home taped to the ipad. (Please email me if you cannot find the login information @ mhamilton@lsc.k12.in.us.

·       If the screen freezes or the sound is not working, you can double click the home button, swipe out of the app and repeat the process to access the app.
