Greetings Mustang Families,

I am excited and honored to lead Miller Elementary School and work aside the dedicated staff, fantastic parents and hard-working students. Miller has always had a special place in my heart, as I was the assistant principal here years ago. I am happy to be returning as principal for the 2022-23 School Year.

I would like to share a little about myself. I have worked in administration for over 15 years, serving in a variety of roles. Prior to administration I taught special education. I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Purdue, a master’s degree in elementary education from University of Phoenix and attended Wesleyan University for the Principal Leadership Program and Licensure. I have worked in Lafayette since graduating from Purdue at T.C. Harris School as principal, G.L.A.S.S. as an administrator and LSC as an assistant principal, serving many schools; Miami, Edgelea, Miller and Oakland.

My family is very important to me too! I have a daughter (Tristan), husband (Chris) and two cats (Tiny and Professor Carl). In my downtime I enjoy spending family time and taking photos. I also really love collecting coffee mugs and drinking coffee.

I look forward to meeting all of the students and families of Miller. My goal is to provide your child with the best educational opportunity. The teachers and staff at Miller are dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate about teaching at Miller, and I could not have joined a better team.

Thank you for trusting all of us to serve your child,

Erin Phillips
