Ms. Kaufman's Classroom

Welcome to
Miss Kaufman's Classroom

Hello, Class!

It's our last week of e-learning!

It was a strange and unexpected ending to the school year, thank you for being flexible and rising above and beyond the challenges to succeed at home for the past months! As our school year comes to a close, I want to say I am proud of you, and I hope all the best for you and your family in the summer and the school year ahead.

Please read the following announcements regarding how we will be ending the school year this year.

Thank you for your understanding as we will be closing out this school year very differently from normal.

Friday, May 15th

At 11:00am we will have a combined ZOOM meeting for students from all three fourth grade classes (Mrs. Sommers, Ms. Delgado, and Ms. Kaufman) to meet one last time and say goodbyes. You can access the meeting through our regular class ZOOM link; I will send out another reminder about that to students’ Showbie accounts on Friday morning.

Also on Friday from 1:30-2:00 fourth graders and their families can drive through Miller Elementary School to wave goodbye to teachers and staff. There will be no walk-ups and no getting out of vehicles allowed; we wish to respect everyone’s social distance and health safety while also allowing students and families to say their goodbyes. It is hard to believe the school year is over! All of us teachers and staff are proud of these students, and wish them the best in fifth grade.

Because of the “Drive through school” fourth grade event on Friday from 1:00-2:00. My own class ZOOM meeting on Friday will be from 3:00-4:00. This will be a chance for my students (Miss Kaufman’s class) to get on ZOOM together one last time to see each other and say goodbyes. I know I will miss each of you and think of you often.

On Tuesday, May 19th from 8:00am to 6:00pm Miller school will be open for all students and families to come and return ipads and borrowed materials (think about library books, etc.). Please make sure you bring in anything you have borrowed (ipad, ipad charger, library books…) on Tuesday! Students will also be able to collect their own things that were left in the classroom on Tuesday, May 19th.

I want to say Thank You for your support of Miller School through this difficult spring semester. I wish you and your family all the best in the coming year.

Best Wishes,

Miss Kaufman
