Monday, May 11

Reading/Writing

  • Go to Edulastic. Take the assessment on Main Ideas and Details in the 4th Grade Reading folder.

     

  • Choose an animal (reptile, amphibian, or spider) for an animal research project for the week. Please see the list of books from EPIC posted on Showbie for some book suggestions. You may choose any amphibian, reptile, or spider. You can also work at your own pace. This assignment is due on Friday, but it can be turned in at any time during the week.
  1. Read at least one book about the animal you have selected.
  2. Complete the Animal Research planner.
  3. Use the color coding from the organizer to put your information into the writing planner. You will find more directions on Showbie.
  4. Type a report that contains at least 2 paragraphs on Pages, create a Keynote, or Clips presentation to share your project. Include photos and drawings.

 

  • Read for AR points.

  • Complete Math Friday’s Free
  • Take the Edulastic assessment in the 4th Grade Home Room folder on Lines and Angles.
  • Spend 20 minutes practicing on Dreambox.

Wednesday, May 13

Reading/Writing

  • Have you taken the Main Ideas and Details assessment on Edulastic? If not, please do that first.
  • Keep working on your animal research report. You should have a read a book on Monday and completed the animal research report chart.
  • You can put that information into the writing planner today to prepare to write your report.
  •  Type a report that contains at least 2 paragraphs on Pages, create a Keynote, or Clips presentation to share your project. Include photos and drawings.
  • Read for AR points.

  • Have you taken the Lines and Angles assessment on Edulastic? If not, please do that first.
  • Complete Math Friday’s Free.
  • Spend 20 minutes practicing on Dreambox.

Reading/Writing

  • Listen to or read “Mystery at Reed’s Pond” on Showbie.
  • Open the KWL Chart on Showbie in the Reading/Writing folder. Write two things you know about turtles in the first column of the KWL chart.
  • Next, write two questions you want to learn about turtles in the second column of the chart.
  • Then, read one nonfiction book about turtles at your AR level on Epic or Overdrive. Write two facts you learned in the last column of the chart. Turn the chart into Showbie in the Reading/Writing folder.
  • Take an AR quiz over the book you read about turtles.

Math

  • Spend at least 20 minutes on Dreambox.
  • Complete Math Friday’s Free on Showbie.
  • Watch this video about parallel, perpendicular, and intersecting lines.

  • Listen to “The Girl Who Loved Spiders” on Think Central. There is a link to the recording in eLearning--Reading/Writing folder on Showbie.
  • Read a nonfiction book about spiders on Epic. The book should be near your Accelerated Reader level. After reading the book, write at least three facts you learned about spiders. These facts should be written or typed in complete sentences and turned into the eLearning folder (reading/writing) on Showbie.
  • Take an AR quiz on the spider book you read on Epic.
