March is 4th Grade Team Appreciation Month

March is the month to celebrate our 4th Grade Team of teachers from Miller Elementary! Here's why they love teaching our students!
Introducing Mrs. Kennedy! (bottom)
She says, "Teaching is one of those unique professions that keeps your brain young, allowing you to continue your own journey as a lifelong learner. I love teaching because I love to learn, and want to extend that love out to my 4th grade students. Fourth Grade is a wonderful grade to teach because the students are still surprised when they discover a new skill, but old enough to understand the importance of that skill. Go Mustangs!"
Mrs. Hughes is in the middle of our photo!
She says, "4th Grade is a magical time in a student's education. They are primed and ready to become more independent learners. Not only does their academic learning blossom during this year, but personalities grow in leaps and bounds as well! Guiding my students through this transition is one of the many reasons I simply love teaching 4th Grade! Guiding my Mustangs through it is why I adore teaching at Miller!"
Ms. Brown is next!
She says, "Since I started teaching four years ago, I have always been in the immediate grade levels. This is my first year to teach 4th grade and I absolutely love having the opportunity to teach 4th grade here at Miller Elementary. Fourth graders are so alive! For good or bad, fourth graders seem to care deeply about almost everything that happens on a day to day basis. Ambivalence is rare and emotional intensity is a hallmark in the 4th grade. The students are all unique and curious individuals as well as industrious yet concrete thinkers."
Thank you 4th grade team for all you do for our students!
